Shidan lost his Mother recently to cancer and like all of us, wondered what he could do to help others avoid this painful experience. As a result of the stresses in his life, he started comfort eating and put on weight (see picture). Then one day he made a decision, I am not going to feel sorry for my self anymore, I am going to make a difference to myself and the world. He spoke to his customers about cancer research and they agreed to make a donation in exchange for having their windows cleaned. So for a number of days Shidan worked tirelessly to make money, start losing weight and give the money he made to Cancer Research UK, raising over £1,000."It might not be millions, but if everyone does something, it will help make a difference to someone some day" says Shidan with a small smile on his face.
